Driving from Abilene, Texas to Durango, Colorado, I stumbled upon some interesting characters -- Buddy Holly and Billy the Kid. The first shots were taken December 24th at Buddy Holly Plaza in Lubbock, Texas. There had been a snow storm the previous night and part of the 24th and the snow and ice made driving (and walking) really dangerous.

These next picutures are from the Billy the Kid (William H. Bonnie) gravestone in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
Below is the Old Fort Sumner Museum, which is in front of the cemetary with Billy's gravestone.
