Happy Birthday United States National Park Service

Happy Birthday United States National Park Service -- from your Houston Real Estate Professional.

August 25th, 1916 the United States National Park Service was created.  Yellowstone was the worlds first national park, and today more than 388 additional sites have become part of the National Park System.  I personally enjoy travelling to these National Parks and getting my Passport to Your National Parks book stamped with the date and park information.

This picture of the Grand Canyon National Park was taken on December 29th, 2009.  It was snowing so hard that Christmas that the roads were almost impassable for two days.

Hope you are able to enjoy the National Park system.  It is quite remarkable, and it is a wonderful way to spend family vacations and make fabulous memories that last a lifetime.
