Requirements to be eligible:
- Must have lived in the principal residence for at least 5 consecutive years of the last 8 years.
- Make less than $125,000 yearly for a single tax payer or $225,000 for married filing jointly.
- Home purchased must be less than $800,000.
- Enter into a contract to buy or build a house on or before April 30th, 2010, and close by June 30, 2010.
