My Excellent Oregon Adventure -- Mount Adams. A few miles north of Oregon is Trout Lake Washington. That is where we stopped at a ranger station and got this stamp. The National Parks service has a wonderful program where you can buy a National Parks Passport book (about $7 last time I looked) and stamp it with the date and sometimes wonderful pictures, like this one. The date stamp is similar to a postage cancellation and allows you to use it as a keepsake so you know when you visited certain locations.
Wow, I just love this view of the mountain. I took a picture with my cell phone as well and it turned out great too. You have to drive along a dirt road to this lake location to get this picture -- but I think it was worth it.
This is a slightly different view. I can't decide which I like better.

Liz, those are beautiful pictures! I've grown up in the northwest & I don't think I've ever been to Mt. Adams.
Hi Don, I must thank my husband who reads Fodor books before we travel so he knows exactly where to go to get the best photos.
