Awesome Train Pictures of the Kansas City Southern in Texas

Awesome Train Pictures of the Kansas City Southern in Texas.  These pictures were taken on July 16th, 2009 between 9am and 9:30am by my husband.

He chased the train for several hours -- until the car he was driving proceeded to die making it hard for him to get back to Houston.  We think these pictures were taken south of Houston.

Aren't the colors on this train striking.  The black, gold and red makes for a great contrast.

Here is the tail end of the train.  They don't put cabooses on the end of trains anymore, what a shame that is.  They were so cute.

Liz, We moved here in 1996 and I have NEVER seen a passenger train.  I can understand your husband chasing the train for pictures (lol).

Good shots, I love catching the train. There is something about trains that just makes me happy. I walk a mile down to Fullerton train station with my 80 year old young neighbor every Wed to see the "South West Chief" come in from Chicago. We leave around 6:00am, get coffee at the station and wait for the Chief to come in around 6:30.
