A Railfan Outing -- Train Pictures From Flatonia, November 6th, 2010.

These train pictures were taken at Flatonia Texas near a pavillion where some of the rail fans gather twice a year to take pictures of trains for the day.  This 1915 up train came through at 9:18am.

This freight train came through the big X (where two train tracks cross at 90 degree angles to form a big X) area at 10:12am.

This 9434 up train came through at 10:13am.  The weather couldn't have been any better, sunny and cool in the morning.  A good time was had by all.

There was a lull in the trains until 4:22pm, when up train 5552 came through.

I love the color scheme on this picture with the bright orange caboose, the yellow engine and the tan tower.  This train came through at 4:26pm.

This was the last train though at 6:18pm

Another view of up train 4984.  The yellow train looks orange as the sun sets.

Trains are so beautiful - especially love the last shot with the close up. The light is so beautiful and the train is so close :)
