175th Anniversary of the Battle of The Alamo -- Pictures From Your Tomball Texas Real Estate Agent
As you get near the Alamo you will see this beautiful mural on the side of one of the buildings in San Antonio, Texas.
The Alamo is one of the most famous landmarks in the world, with several movies telling the story of the fight for Texas Independence.
About a block from the alamo is this great sculpture of the heros that fought at the Alamo. This is a relatively new scuplture.
This exterior wall looks original to the Alamo. The Alamo was acutally a mission. You can take a mission tour of the other missions in San Antonio and get stamps for your Passport to National Parks Book. Do you see the metalwork in the arches?
Here is the famous line where Colonel Travis drew his line in the sand and asked his men to step over the line to declare their intentions to continue to serve.
Here is the plaque with his actual words.
This old tree is in the courtyard of the Alamo.
An original cannon.
The Alamo musuem was in this lovely building. There is alot of detail work on the facade, but I'm not sure if it is circa 1836 or later. Hope you get a chance to visit the Alamo someday and experience the true Texan Spirit.
